GREENVILLE, S.C. – Fan Fest, Furman Athletics’ official kickoff to the fall competition season, is set for Saturday, August 19 at Paladin Stadium.
Presented by Ingles, the free event, which gets underway at 4:00 p.m. in the Wicked Weed End Zone on Paladin Stadium, features music and inflatables. This year’s musical entertainment will feature Furman alum, country rock ‘n’ soul artist Trey Duncan. Food trucks and yard games will also be on-site. A limited concessions menu will be available for purchase, as well as beer.
Fans will have the opportunity to secure autographs, take pictures, and interact with Furman student-athletes representing football, volleyball, women’s soccer, and cross country, as well as Paladin cheerleaders. Additionally, the Furman Football season ticket holder gift will be available for pickup at the event.
At 5:00 p.m. the action inside the stadium will heat up as fans can get an early look at head coach Clay Hendrix’s football squad as it gears up for the 2023 season, which gets underway on Thursday, August 31, when the Paladins play host to Tennessee Tech. Saturday’s first look will include position drills, in-game preparation scenarios, and scrimmage matchups.
The autograph and picture portion of the event for the Paladin football team will commence post-practice on the field.
Fans will also have an opportunity to explore season ticket and single game ticket availability for the upcoming season.
As an added bonus, Furman fans can get their on-campus day off to an early start with a preview of head coach Michelle Young’s volleyball squad, who will host Georgia Southern at 2:00 p.m. in Alley Gym.
